Spring Peepers

I was at a friends house this evening in Columbus and heard spring peepers for the first time this season. That has got to be the most relaxing sound.
 
Heard some while walking around my development tonight. That means 2 things:

1) Spring is on its way

2) So is little league season, and my street will once again be lined with big fat yuppie tanks driven by big fat McDonald's fueled parents, no doubt blocking the front of my house and sometimes my driveway, to watch their underachieving spoiled kids strike out because they're not even any good at baseball and are only playing because their parents' failed childhood dreams are being pressed on them.
I wish my town enforced its parking permit law...

But other than that...hooray spring.

First, I started hearing peepers on Thursday night, what a great sound.

Second, it could be worse. I actually had to umpire some of those little league games. Talk about hazardous duty!

Yeah, the kids would probably have much more fun if the parents stayed home.
