Stale Beer and Blossoming Blueberry Bushes

Has anyone else ever noticed that the blossoming blueberry bushes smell like stale old beer? I've been noticing it more and more in the last few weeks or so. Give them a whiff. I've also been smelling some local planted crops that smell like grapefruit.

I have noticed that stale beer smell in the woods before.

Hmmm. I wonder...if the pine pollen gathered together into large clumps from the rains, and then sat in the water in the hot sun, would it begin to ferment?

Ha! Yeah, Gabe loves beer! I have no idea why it smells like that, and it's looking like most of the blossoms are gone now. I didn't smell it comming home last night. It really smells like the old beer at the bottom of the recycling can. Weird.
