State Park Police? (those formerly known as 'Park Rangers')

Don't know if this has been posted, but I was just perusing the NJ State Forestry website as I do time to time to see if they have updated anything useful. Noticed this change in the title of 'Park Rangers'. I'm not sure if this is an exact change but I've never seen this logo before today when I was searching around.

Well I guess that makes sense. To me the word "Ranger" evokes an image of someone that is expert in forestry. Someone that knows the Pines like the back of their hand. Today what we have are law enforcement officers so "Police" fits.

Funny that you mention this. I just noticed one of their vehicles labeled this way a few days ago and I thought it was something I hadn't seen before...
