You reap what you sow!! If a township is allowing the construction of new developments and shopping plazas, you have to expect traffic congestion. The way things are going along rt 9, you'd have to be a fool to not see the traffic problem getting worse. Just like the article states, another road will just bring more bussiness and homes to the area, which I really dont feel it needs. I can see it now.. ten years from now they'll need of a third road parallel to this one. Chaulk one up for the state.

Ridiculous as that sounds, this was actually a plan for dealing with the congestion on the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia... maybe it still is? I can't imagine the nightmare it would be while they built that. That is one road I just avoid at all costs, any time of the night or day.

Great news. We don't need more traffic. I have a place in Waretown, exit 69, and I can't imagine anymore cars going North or South in that area. That is why the Parkway was built.

It's done is Cali, remember the pictures after the quake when the Interstate pancaked around Oakland?

I drove the Schuykill a few times when they used to have the vintage races in Fairmont Park.

Yesterday I drove the Schuylkill from City Ave. to the Ben Franklin Bridge and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Today I went down Belmont to Montgomery to West River Drive to Vine Expwy and it took 30 minutes. I-95 around Girard is also a pain. Two weeks ago I was working at 18th and Market and the ride down Chestnut to 5th took forever. Rt. 38 around the Malls at Christmastime will also make you want to hang up your car keys. I wish I had a job here at home!

That sucks, but arent you glad as bad as it gets around here, its never as bad as city traffic. I hope it stays that way. Id commute anyday over living in that jungle.
