Success Lake fishing......

I went to Success Lake fishing in the pines yesterday so large, tranquil, so beautiful calm & serene. Many have no idea it even exists.
Besides fishing it is a great place to take a nature hike, have lunch, read a book or just relax.... anyone else experience this amazing place..
if not you should.

Success has personal meaning to me. It’s where I proposed to Patty, worked! Heavens knows I needed all the help that could be mustered. We were renting a farmhouse in Cream Ridge at the time. Beck wrote of it in More Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey. The chapter is titled “Success: the steam-shovel that dug for carp,” the fish to be sold to the expanding Jewish market in nearby Lakewood. It's been years since I last fished there but recollect perch and pickerel 'pike' back then (late '80s).
