Swans on Centennial Lake

We see 2 swans on Centennial Lake. Are they native to the Pine Barrens?

Not an expert on Swans but I suspect Tundra Swans. I believe they stop in on the way somewhere.

We see 2 swans on Centennial Lake. Are they native to the Pine Barrens?

Probably Mute Swans, they are very common in NJ. In total there are 3 Swans you may come across. The only way to tell the difference is by their head and color of their bill.

Mutes are considered an invasive species in several States, Pennsylvania is one of them. They can be taken (shot) at any time in Pennsylvania. Not so in New Jersey.
