We use them at work. When the inspectors check our parts we always worry about what the "Hubble Microscope" will find :)

According to the article, those critters are actually pretty big - 1/2 millimeter. You can see that with the naked eye, although you would need a microscope to see much detail. :)

Tardigrades average 500 um, half a MM. About the size of the period at the end of this sentence. A head of a pin is about 2 MM. They might be better seen with a good hand lens (10x) or standard dissecting scope 10x,20,30x I would think.
