Funny I actually remember reading that thread back before I was a member of this forum. Just not the o"The American Surveyor" article Jerseyman posted.
I personally think it's awesome that these markers can still be found.

There are thousands of stones out there and all of them are not talking, so it is up to people such as that surveyor, myself and Manumuskin as well as others to poke them with a knife and get something out of them. I am sharpening my blade as I type.
