The blue comet

This past weekend I was at a wedding in north Jersey. It just so happened, they had a “recovery” brunch at a nearby diner. I was surprised to find out that half of this diner was actually an old train car from the blue comet.
Paul probably documented this somewhere, but it was a real surprise not expecting it.
To think this car was once racing through the pines in the 1930’s !

Whoa, I didn’t know the Clinton diner car was from the Blue Comet! I’ve been meaning to go there.

I have eaten there many times. They just did some remodeling to the outside of the car last year. Last time I was there I was eating next to the guy that runs the garage down at Winslow Junction. They have one of the Blue Comet cars there too. Try the burger challege and you could win some money

Back then it was a 4lb burger for 1 person, and I think a 20lb for 4, and 10 people for the 50 pounder. Still wild.
