I believe Plumsted Township is the most Northern municipality of the Pinelands. So I thought it would be ok to post some information about our upcoming Fall Festival & Kayak race on Crosswicks Creek.
The Kayak race/tour will start at 8 a.m. and go to 11 a.m. It is going to be an interesting race along 8 miles of the Crosswicks Creek. The race is also in honor of Ken Francis a long time resident and 16 year committeemen to New Egypt.
Our FALL festival has a unique element to it this year. There will be a Bluebird Trail intertwined with the festivities. This is all taking place in New Egypt, N.J. on November 1st from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. "This year's festival is addressing the message of disconnection between children and nature from Richard Louv's book, Last Child in the Woods."
To register for the challenging Kayak race or leisurely tour visit CCDCGREENWAY.org. Hope to see you there.

A one day, nine separate stations/activities, birding experience. With local community youth groups leading activities at each station (teachers/educators/naturalists on hand as well).
