All,
Today Ben and I explored the state property that leads up to Stormy Hill. We started our morning by wading across the Wading River and heading up Frank Ford road. The bridge is out and has been for years, keeping this area quite remote. From there we walked north exploring along the way. We looked for a few stones but came up empty, however we did find a cool tree stand that I just had to climb. It had a board nailed right in the top of a sawed off tree.
We then discovered the ruins of an old house, or as Ben said the ruins of the chimney. It is quite remote there.
We then traveled all the way north to the edge of the Wharton property at the crest of Stormy Hill. The rest of the hill is private property with one lone house hidden away in one of the most remote places in the pines. It is as I said private property, so nobody can get to that portion of Stormy Hill legally. Even the state area where we were walking has no access since to get there you must walk across a river or kayak.
The long gone bridge to Frank Ford road.

The edge of the state property where No Trespassing signs are the law.

By the end of the day around 1:30 we had walked 7.1 miles.
