If the worlds largest is any measure it will take up a lot of space. It powers 600,000 homes.

I would like to hear what the life span of the newest turbines are when installed over water and if the maintenance costs are increased because of the salt water. If you add in what it would cost to build the farm would it ever break even? It just sounds expensive with a loss of monies. I don't know enough about the technology to make a fair decision.

These Ørsted sites give some info, page 12 of the first is specific to their plans for the US of A. All of their work has been in the UK starting in 1991, they currently have 11 operational, so they must have the maintenance cost numbers.
