I made a few new ones today and will try and place all of mine in this one thread.

Atsion. Notice they moved the poles away from the lake. The two canoe rentals on the right in the 1979 photo were Adams and Pic-A-Lilly in that order.

It's odd. The top set of photos of the road by Atsion Lake bring me back to an era that seems awfully long ago. I was running around in my Jeep CJ-5 then. If you had an issue and needed someone, you had to use a CB radio to relay a message. Breaker 19, break, break! My handle was Cripple Creek back then. I remember listening to the chatter on the CB and feeling good, like I was part of a community of people that helped each other. Before the CB, it was a long walk out. I do remember some hellish winters back then. I stopped at Taverns a lot in those days to mingle with the warmth of the room and in pursuit of the opposite sex. The Villa D, Sportsmens (4 mile), Mayos, Pauls North End, Hazards(?) in Lakehurst, and one tavern on 530 in Browns Mills (name escapes me).

No Joe, none of those. The satellite is in Wrightstown. I saw Bruce there early in his career (1973?). The country lakes pub was not existing back then. This is the building now.

I have them all now in one folder and will upload a few tonight. I may have to remake a few.

Your "then" picture of Washington captures the exact type of day I love to be in the woods! appears to be early fall and a little overcast and most importantly, no one else around!

I think the one with Friendship is my favorite. The old buildings and cars are cool. That white 2 story building looks like it was on the long narrow foundation out there now

That friendship photo is really cool. I always wondered what it looked like back there? Does anyone know of anymore photos of it are floating around?

Stone at the Sandy Causeway bridge

The well at Harrisville. Notice there was a snow fence there back there in 1973. That is my friend John on the left and my brother to his right. In the photo on the right is Jessica and the daughter of a former member of this site.

This is the bridge at Hampton over the Skit Branch. When the Modern Concrete Contrivance washed out it was replaced with this.

This is the Modern Concrete Contrivance on the left. The photos are not the same view but it gives you an idea what it looked like when I first started visiting the area. Spent hours at that bridge. Put our soda's in the water and came back later and had lunch. I have a ton of photo's there. That area at Hampton has changed more than any place in the pines.

The Cranberry Packing House at Hampton that the state took by eminent domain around 1964 from the Goodrich family. It was at this location Beck and his crew took a photo of David Kell that is in one of his books.

Original Look of it.

The son of the last owner, and last living resident of that property. Daryl Goodrich.

That photo is one of many that were posted by member @Pan back in 2013. Here's the original thread with lots of cool photos: https://forums.njpinebarrens.com/threads/i-found-a-few-more-pine-barrens-photos-c-1970-or-so.9133/

It's been almost two years since he has checked in here, I hope that all is well with him.

Black's Bridge 1978 and 2007. I recently saw a photo of this bridge in the 1930s and it looks pretty nice. The Eureka Gun Club is in the photo also. Beck called it the "little span."
