All,
This morning Jessica and I went looking for stones in the Friendship area. Juat as we crossed the bridge coming from Carranza we saw a car coming towards us out of the woods and they turned left into the loose sand and got stuck. I have no idea what he was thinkings. So after traveling a short distance towards Speedwell I backed up to try and help.
Jessica took this with her iPod Touch showing me pushing.
Unfortunately, my weight and strength are quite poor and it was a failure. I then used his jack to raise the car and remove as much sand as I could. Eventually, a truck arrived and hooked up a tow strap and went to work pulling it out.
Jessica took a video of the car being pulled out.

We then resumed what we were doing and headed towards Speedwell to look for stones. The stones in question were some of the original property corners for Friendship Bogs until the state purchased Wharton and acquired a 1/5 interest in the property. In order to get the 1/5 interest from the owners of Friendship Bogs the state took this piece of property and altered the Evan's & Wills line. These stones are forever lost unless someone can find them. I have found one and there are at least two more to find.
On the way down Speedwell Friendship Road we realized the Forest Fire Service last evening burned the woods we were going to search in. This made the searching quite easy for one of them, but we still came up empty handed. A return trip and more calculating is required. Along the way Jessica kept asking for marshmallows.
Heading to the next fire.
We then returned to the Commissioner Stone placed on the Atsion Tract in 1856 after Flemming had his problems and the tract went up for sale. I wanted to dig around it to see if there were letters or dates on it. There wasn't.
