I didn't really like it all that much, but I didn't use it to the extent I know others here did, and do. Personally I think the USGS and NOAA should make all charts and maps available free online, in scalable, zoomable, hi-res format, with annotated upates and current notices, navigation and measurement tools, and satellite imagery overlay.

Basically I think they should do this because it would be cool, and since we already paid them to make the maps, so it seems wrong to make us pay again to get some use out of them.

That's pretty much what they're already doing here: http://seamless.usgs.gov

But with the kind of clunky interface you might expect from a government agency :)
