There is more to the story than just passing busses. Someone actually asked to have route 72 a no passing zone the complete route. That was turned down. And they may put flashing stop signs at Savoy.

I use the intersection of Savoy and 72 a couple times a week. If the state owns the land around there (I'm lazy did not look), they should move the road away from the hill and RR bridge. Maybe like this.

A lot of money, but tear down the RR trestle and refill the hole that was dug to accommodate the RR? Rerouting Savoy would probably never happen because of permits, PPA and other objections. God forbid you don't want to disturb the green tailed tree frog, snakes, ticks, chiggers. Broom Crowberry, pine bark beetle and other rare and endangered species that are only found in and around the immediate vicinity of the RR trestle and nowhere else in the world, do you?
