Notice the E in Ocean is backwards and all that we found were the same way. The owner thinks he discovered the reject pile. He found the first piece and I found the second one and put it together for this shot. It is similar to the one he posted above.

It says:

Wheatland
N&J.L.TOWNSEND&CO
OCEAN COUNTY

I don't see the E that Scroggy mentions in post 17. However, if you look closely before the first letter it looks like there may be a period. So maybe the E was accidentally left out. Maybe the report is wrong or maybe the pipe is wrong and that maybe why it is in the scrap heap.

Hi teegate,
Happy 2024!
This spring I plan to cover the kiln I showed you and your daughter. I think it's something we shouldn't disturb anymore that I already did. Maybe we can get Jerseyman to check it out before then.
I was wondering if you think I should Pursue seeing if the Pinelands commission would be interested in listing this as a historic site.
