Beaver channel, surprisingly there were no flies at this spot, but there were plenty on the trails

A beautiful day in the pines, cool and breezy

This frog was relaxing in a puddle; in fact, he was so relaxed that he didn't budge even as I got about 3 inches away to take this photo.

My favorite find of the day, some kind of lizard

He tried to hide on this tree and he was fast as hell too, I was lucky to get the photos

Another great trip in the pines

Great photo's, keep them coming! It seems you will fit right in here.

I believe that is a fence lizard but what do I know. And I will guess the flower is a Meadow Beauty (Rhexia virginica) and is a little past it's prime since my photo's of them were taken on the last day of July. There should be more yellow in the center.

I was wandering down Oswego Rd yesterday and those little lizards were darting around everywhere - I saw dozens of them.

Great photos - welcome to the site!

There is very few critters that can be guarentee's in the pines, but fence swifts, fowler's toads, and pine warblers seem to always show up. Most of the cool critters are so fossorial that they are rarely seen.....
