Trying out new Macro Lens

Took a photo of some Curly Grass Fern along the Tulpe.Posting to see how it looks downsized on forum.These are the male fronds.female fronds are taller and out in midsummer.

Looks nice, but I'm wondering if your white balance was set properly? Was that underbrush (or grass or ???) really bright blue, like it appears in the picture?

my white balance may not be set properly.I don't even know what white balance is.I had it set for sunny day which it was with the camera on manual.I have been trying to take 360-'s without much success and the camera has to be on the same settings for every shot.I forgot to put the camera back on auto and was alos playing with the software to try and get it brighter so may have messed up the color myself.
I know absolutely nothing about photography but I do know where there is some grass fern
