TWO PINELANDS PANEL MEMBERS RENOMINATED

Trenton - Two members of the Pinelands Commission, one veteran and
one relative newcomer, have been renominated to new terms.
Gov. James E. McGreevey last week renominated Candace Ashmun of Far
Hills and Robert Hagaman of Mullica Township to the commission.
"Both individuals have shown a great commitment to balancing
appropriate growth with the protection of the Pinelands' critical
plant and animal habitats," according to a statement from the
governor's office.
Ashmun is an inaugural member of the more than 20-year-old commission
that regulates land use in the 1-million-acre preserve in southern New
Jersey. Hagaman is finishing his first term.
Both nominees must be confirmed by the state Senate.
