Units of Measure

Boyd, when I do reports for the state, I tell them how many feet up the road a spot is (if the distance is under a mile), and I also tell them the mileage in tenths, even if it's only a part of a mile. I have imperial units chosen, but for some reason if it's under a mile it gives me feet and meters only. Is there something you can do to show mileage even if under 1 mile?

Sorry, that is a built-in function of the MapTalks API, so I have no control over how it behaves. This is literally the only built-in function that I use at all, everything else on my site is custom code that I wrote from scratch. I never liked this measurement function, but thought it might be better than nothing. It's virtually unusable in the mobile version. Have been planning to update this with my own code, but it's a fair sized project that I am not likely to get to anytime soon.

Okay, thanks anyway. I'll make a word table I can leave next to me showing the feet conversion to mile every tenth mile. That'll suffice.
