Was scoping out some hunting spots today and came across an unexpected road closure. Any guesses why this road was closed?

Couple of hints: 1) This was just a temporary closure. Nothing to do with at atvs, in fact there were no signs of atv usage in this area yesterday. 2) note the title of the thread, the reason for the closure can be seen in the photo. I have a followup photo I will post later.
That is what I was eluding to but he shot that down. I am going to say that the dark object in the road ahead is a snake or multiple snakes. Maybe even mating.

Another hint - the thing that looks like a barrier or irrigation pipe is actually moving. Very fast.

Not a tank, but not something one would expect to find in the middle of the road. Pretty amazing they had it tucked in there like that.
