upstream oswego river

about 10 years ago I paddled upstream from oswego lake about a mile and was stopped by low water liftovers.many of them.Now that the water appears to be up I am going to try again.has anyone ever made it up as far as papoose branch or further?Whats the furthest it"s possible to go up?On terraserver it looks like once you get past papoose branch it dwindles to a small stream.Anybody out there pushed oswego to it"s upper limits?

I don't know how "up" the water is. The last two times we paddled, the water was pretty low. This was both in the Oswego and the Nescochague.

i was checking it out about a mile upstream from a side road and it was not all the way up but definitely higher then when I tried it.maybe I"ll wait for winter.the water is never all the way up in the summer no matter how much rain we get because the trees suck it up like a sponge.I"ll wait till it's really up to try it.
