Whipoorbill and I met up with NJChilehead (Mark) for a hike on the yellow trail at FPP and then afterwards Whip and I proceeded to Friendship for lunch and then onto the Mullica for some more late afternoon sunshine shots.Awesome weather,a bit windy but not too cold.I didn't get a pic of the Painted turtle I reached down into an underwater grass clump and pulled him out for phoos,he was shy so we put him back in.He really thought he was well hid but I could see his head poking out of the grass and I reached in slowly and got him.The water was so cold my hand hurt,wonder how a turtle being cold blooded deals with that.A lot of basking i guess but even with the wind that had to be cold for a turtle.
