I went hiking with my son in the Warren Grove Bogs on Saturday. This area is property of the NJ Natural Lands Trust. A unique area with old abandoned bogs and pine plains. Part of the wading river, or oswego depending on which time period map you consult.

On our way back through an overgrown trail that ran along the cusp of the descent to the river and the pine plains I noticed what appeared to be a forest fire in the general direction of New Gretna/Bass River.

Did anybody hear of a fire in that general area?

The kid has been eating his Wheaties! I was out there about a month ago with Turtle, Johnnyb and a bunch of our friends. We plan on going back when the Turkeybeard blooms, there's a ton of it out there.
