Looks like we will be walking on the "rain side" of that thin line. It actually snowed here briefly yesterday afternoon but then changed to rain. High tomorrow around 50 degrees with a low in the 40's tomorrow night. Potential for between 1 to 3 inches of rain though. That would have made for quite a snowstorm if the temperature was lower.

The 'line' is roughly 45 miles north of us. Outside is a bit like Sandy. Really feel for those folks that had damage as its a very similar event with much flooding already. Spoke with my brother in Green County NY, they are expecting 30 inches +. He works for the state bridge authority and is not very happy about it.

Forecast reads like a broken record with storms setting up off the Pacific thru next week.

Breaking Weather News: The Waretown Fire Department in south NJ was dispatched for investigation of possible tornado touchdown there within the last 30 minutes; there are simultaneous alarms going off, multiple poles down, and transformer fires in the area. It is possible this was done by strong straight-line winds blowing through the area too. If you are in this area and have additional insights or photographs and can share them safely, please do. Strong winds, lightning, heavy rain, and coastal flooding will continue for the next several hours in New Jersey.

Quite a few power outages in several counties, with some towns putting evac plans into effect. Winds are now out of the N/NNW. Heard the flooding is getting really bad in some of the already hard hit areas.

SIL lives in Waretown and has heard nothing about a tornado, just strong straight line winds with gusts, and a couple of short power interruptions.
