All,

Headed out alone to search for Rockwood property corners and I am still feeling sluggish. I struggled towards the end getting back to the car. It didn't help that I forgot water.

Anyway, here is the gate today at the causeway on Paradise Drive. The road has been worked on here as smokejumper mentioned.

West Mill Road is wet in places so if you do go there be prepared to either walk through it or walk along the woods edge. It was over my boots in some area's.

I had noticed this structure on Google Earth and was thinking it may be the hunters shack. It most likely was because when I got there nothing was there. They had removed it. I did find their main hunting area I believe as it had hundred's of ears of corn and a path leading to it.

I hate when I hear people say the woods are ruined by the fire.

It was really crispy towards the end of the distance I went.

Saw bright blue and discover this balloon. It would be interesting to know where it came from. Looks like the handwriting of a female. Just guessing.

And my tracks. I went over 4 miles and maybe close to 5. I have to go back though. I did get to 2 of the 4 property corners I wanted to hit today. The two I made it to are deep in duff and I need to spend more time looking. I was tired by that point and did a lackluster search.

Ignore the date on it. That is when my track file in the GPS was first made. I don't delete my tracks, I let them fill up and write over. Hence, an old dated file.

A video of an area I was in.

Teegate, if I’m reading that sign correctly can’t I pedal my bike right around the gate and keep on going? Do the beavers still have that area pretty well damed-up?

Yes you can ride your bike as long as it is not motorized.

You can get down the road except there are places you will have to either walk through the water up to 18 inches or more, or carry it through the woods along the edges. Some of the edges are easy but a few are semi long and it may be tough carrying a bike.

BTW, you may run into vehicles. There has been considerable traffic down that road and it appears it has been recent. The tracks lead into and out of Paradise Lake going even towards the Pleasant Mills church.

If you have not been back there before make sure you stay on the state road. At the Y intersections you go the route that looks bad. The good road goes to his place and you can see the gate in the distance.

I explored the burn area again today on my own. As I went past Atsion I noticed all of the cones are gone so traveling Fireline road is now acceptable. However, I again headed down Dave's Road and headed across the swamp revisiting some places and scouting out others for a future search.

I suspect this has to do with hunting. There were two metal stands nearby that the fire had damaged.

I was in the area out there where the leaching is at it's best. Here is a photo from 7/15/2018 when it was really dry.

Last visited in 2007 I checked on the Burlington/Atlantic County monument # 63 that was placed there in 1935.

Looking. towards Atlantic County.
