Don't know about anyone else, but I got much more rain overnight than they were predicting. Had about 3 inches of water in the wheelbarrow this morning, didn't surprise me because I heard the rain all night long. Will be interesting to see where we end up by Monday, could be as much a 5 inches for the weekend if this continues.

Got 3 inches here, I agree we got a lot of rain overnight. This should do a good job of getting some wetlands filled up a bit. Still need 2-3 more of these.

It is starting now. I just was driving down 42 and it was starting to rain. At 5:45 it wasn't. Looks like 90 percent by 10 and thundershowers late this afternoon. At least my wife's phone shows that.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central New Jersey...and southern New Jersey...
including the following areas...in central New Jersey...Eastern
Monmouth and Western Monmouth. In southern New Jersey...Atlantic,
Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Camden, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic,
Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Gloucester, Northwestern Burlington,
Ocean, Salem, and Southeastern Burlington.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Portions of southern New Jersey saw anywhere from 2 to 5+
inches of rain over the past 24-48 hours. Another 1 to 1.5
inches is expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
Some small stream flooding has already been observed.

This is clearly not a good thing; a drought that practically lasts through the winter. I recall when April rains were common, sometimes lasting a week or more. It's alarming.

Coming down heavy here. Would think another 1.5-2 inches more of rain. Finally hearing frogs calling and migrating to ponds now with some minimal water in them.

It rained very hard here between ~2:30-3:30 PM, I went out and roads were flooding. There was one intersection in Mays Landing where the water was so deep, I decided not to chance going through it. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 3 inches today when all is said and done. There have been a couple more flood watches issued in the last few hours. Here's an excerpt of one that's in effect until 6:00 PM

- At 204 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across
portions of the advisory area.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May, Pleasantville, Somers
Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine, Northfield, Absecon, Margate
City, Egg Harbor City, and North Wildwood.
- This includes the following highways...
Garden State Parkway between mile markers 0 and 27...and
between mile markers 29 and 30...and
between mile markers 32 and 48.
Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 0 and 21.

I stepped outside and there was a gray treefrog on my porch. I took it 200 yards down the road and put it in someone else's yard.

Drove around by my house and there was 100s of spadefoots out on roads and in ponds.

I wonder if that's what I had....I only guessed cause it was gray and looked like a tree frog, but the light was not good.

Got about three more inches yesterday, that's a total of six inches of rain for the weekend.
