04/17/16 @ 0930 hrs- Division B- SECTION B1- Burlington County, Shamong Twp- "Phillips Bridge Wildfire" Wharton State Forest, Quaker Bridge Rd about 2 miles east of the Atsion ranger station- B1 crews working a fire off Quaker Bridge Rd. Initial size-up reports indicate fire should be held under about 50 acres. Updated 0952 hrs. News link

Now 133 acres, 75% contained, 1830 hrs.

Google must have recently updated their images and caught this spring's forest fire.

If the area is available with street view, you can get the exact date on the street view. You can find the exact date of a location on Google Earth, but for some reason not on Google Map. This image was taken on 4/16/2016.

Hum...those dates don't quite match up. I'm sure they are both the same fire. My wife actually noticed the column of smoke on our way out of Hammonton from a friends house. It was almost out by early afternoon.

The GE screen capture. GE sources the imagery from others and they do state deep in the bowels of their legal mumbo jumbo the info is approximate ;) Perhaps the company taking the pix is in another time zone :confused:
