What are these Tools

Yesterday, while out roaming the burn area west of Stevenson Rd, I came upon the ruins of an old campsite. Among the debris, there was an old kerosene lantern, and these tools shown in the photo below. Does anyone have an idea the real purpose for these tools?

First glance/wild guess, they look like you would put something in the "ring" end and hold it over a fire? I used to work in a foundry a long time ago and we used similar items to melt lead ingots in a ladle

Thats what I was thinking.Maybe to melt lead in to pour into shot molds for a black powder gun?

I used something similar, but it had a 'pot' at the end instead of a ring, to make sinkers. Maybe those are for making egg mcmuffins

Good thought, but they'd likely make them so you can free the pipe from them easily (I would think). And height adjustable too with a turnbuckle.

Thanks to all for the guesses to date. I didn't inspect the tools that close. But looking at the photo, it looks like the ring might be adjustable. If that is the case, it is my guess, the tool is to hold a crucible.
