What is this sound? Frog? Bird?

I have them all over here. When my windows are open here I can't even hear the tv between them and the spring peepers. But I would want it any other way

Well then, you need to spend more time in the Pines ! If that's even possible.

I have noticed them sounding off everywhere this week. I heard them mid-day in Brooklawn on Friday. It seems to me that they are more prevalent in hardwoods.

I have never heard a grey tree frog then.
Guy I have them in my yard.They seem to prefer oak forests though I have found them in pine trees.They are very cryptic and blend in with oak bark very well.They can be mistaken for a bird but birds excepting a very few kind shut up at dusk where these bad boys just get louder and more numerous.

I was standing outside with my buddy the other night shooting the breeze when one of these guys fell right out of the sky onto the driveway. I assumed that he got picked up by some avian predator and was let go for some reason. Could be wrong but definitely took me by surprise.
