Correct! Do you know why it's called Wading River Gun Club, when it is actually in the Batsto River watershed? I don't, so I'm curious.

Most of the time just like Al stated the clubs are names from the location the members are from. Like Bordentown, Chambersburg, Audubon and etc. But very good point

Ed,

Your photo which I remember you posting before many years ago is Milepost 91.

EDIT: It is milepost 90 and not 91. I was incorrect.

Yes, I have it labeled as 90. He brought his own nut.
I posted this earlier but removed it so we could have more fun. If you read where I said it was, you can't play.

It is the same one since you said Ed mapped it properly. As Ed mentioned the person who put that ring on it brought their own nut. That is Milepost 90 for the JCRR. Most of the mileposts have been taken over the years but the concrete base for almost all of them remain. There are well over 100 of them.

Here is one of the few that still remain. This is milepost 128.

Mine was taken 12/15/2009. J M Bishop, DUALSPORT. The one I posted on a tree is a short distance away at Sandy Ridge. The one at Sandy Ridge is a short distance off of Carranza Road as is the mile post one. I bet there are more. Here is the other half of the one at the mile post, DUALSPORT.

Do you know who placed it there Ed? are there more? Was always curious
No I don't, but it was signed with a W. The message is nostalgic "Make it scenic as before", so a wild guess is the W stands for Wilkenson, an owner of Hampton Park.
The area faired much better in private hands.

I don't know if the extruded aluminum above it is related to the sigh, but there was another piece attached to the bridge down stream a few years ago but did not go back to 94.
