They've been burning here for the past couple days with signs that warn "Firefighters working in road ahead". Reminded me a bit of Fahrenheit 451.

Not that i live in the the area, but sometime ago, I signed up for text notifications of scheduled burns.

Went back to Brendan Byrne on Monday around 5 PM and drove through a stretch of burnt and burning forest on Egg Harbor Ave. Lots of smoldering but some trees were actively burning. No sign of firefighters.
