This is the site where Whip posts recordings that he deems internet worthy.Every Barrens and Cumberland County recording is by Him. Most are right down fabulous.It's hard to get away from road noise,even in the middle of Wharton it seeps in sometimes.

The one at Friendship Bogs is a gem. I have had it in my car for years and when I go there to look for tree frogs I play it to start them going.

Bill got a new recorder for his birthday.It is the size of a cell phone and does better then his old recorder that had to be backpacked in.He missed frog season this year but He's right in insect season now with still a few frogs still hanging on.Plus he's been getting hit and miss treasures like owl,deer huffs,one sound we both think was a turtle crawling by the recorder.He has to leave the recorder because the thing will pick up your breathing at 50 ft.It can hear you walking at 50 yards.
