I have several Java programs installed on both my Mac and PC that are excellent and I use them frequently. But a locally installed Java program from a trusted site is completely different from a website that uses Java. What sites still use the Java Plug-in? I know of several that used to, but they have switched long ago. I haven't found any sites that complain about having Java disabled.
