No. I took a rapid test and it was negative. Jessica took two rapid tests that were negative and then she went to the clinic and they took a test and sent it out and it was negative. Then Jennifer got sick and she took two rapid test and they were negative. This all stems from the last days of school where Jessica works when all of the kids had head colds and she acquired it. Then it went to me and Jennifer and now my wife is having some minor issues. Jessica never really felt bad but not the same with Jennifer and me.

2 members of my family have something similar right now. I think caught from daycare. Some kind of aggressive bug that is confirmed by multiple tests not COVID but has knocked them down hard for 6 days now. They're finally coming out of it. Thankfully have avoided it myself.

I had it beginning of May. I was down 2 days and back to work in 5. Tiredness and headache lingered. A week later I lost half the vision in one eye with the optic nerve being swollen. Still hasn’t come back.

I first noticed back pain while taking a walk with Jennifer on Thursday evening the week before this past week. We walked two miles and when I got home I had to sit down. Not usual for me. The pain lingered until the next day when the cold symptoms started. Then Saturday I walked in the fire area and the smoke really had my lungs burning and I have not recovered.

That is interesting, I had some kind of "bug" a few weeks ago and my back got very sore after a long walk one day. This lasted for awhile, with aches and pains after taking walks or exercising and cold symptoms on and off. Seems that it is finally gone... I hope!

That would be a disaster. "If needed" would be

Drove batsto fireline road from 206 down almost to constable bridge. Most burnt area was around forest island west to Dave’s road, everything else looks like a controlled burn. But were the wildfire hit its scorched earth but looked like a young forest to begin with. It’s so incredibly dry out tho, very little water anywhere and all the small savanahs were scorched.

We tried to go down the road this morning and it was packed with cars trying to get into the lake. The cones were up blocking the road and the police were chasing everyone away I assume because it was pouring rain and there was thunder. The police were sitting right by the cones so I could not get down the road.

Uh oh. Which road, the fireline road? I was about to head over there.

The usual cars in the road north of the mansion and cars parking all over the entrance to fireline road. As the police were chasing them more cars were starting to line up at the entrance to the lake. As we headed south toward Hammonton all of the chased cars ahead uf us were making u turns on 206 and heading back. I assume they were doing everything they could to get in the lake. That system there is just a mess.

Last week we were also at Constable bridge and that was open and you could drive north along fireline road to Wescoat. It is a tough road at times with the sand but if you have a good 4x4 it is okay. I have driven to Wescoat in my Focus in the winter and my CRV gets me there pretty much anytime. Just watch the sand at Wescoat. And remember that road is officially closed.

I'm borrowing an F-150 but with the rain it's probably better to not attempt it today and end up getting stuck on a closed road. I'm sure the authorities would not appreciate that.

I have some other sites to hit anyway - I can come back here another time.

With the police there I was not going to try that. They were there again today because of everyone trying to get to the lake to swim.

I went early yesterday down Fireline Rd. The middle cone was missing so I just drove straight through. I saw Police parked at Atsion Lake but that was it on the way out. Nothing scientific, just my impressions. The middle of the river appeared untouched. Which will favor photography this autumn. Lots of burn all the way to just before Wescoat.

That meeting area that gets hot is where I want to go this week. I am hoping it was very hot :)
Ok. I drove all the way to the bridge behind the church. I tried West Mill but the gate is back up. Next I went down Rockwood road. It looks like during the fire the FFS improved the road filling in all the holes. In my Jeep I really didn’t need 4wd. Its a lot of soft sand and no water, for now. It’s a pretty rough since it was recently pushed through but passable all the way to West Mill.
