I learned about this a while ago and was just able to get there for the first time today. The entrance to Wharton at the end of Dave's Road is now completely blocked off. The members of the Boot Hill Gun Club who have hunted down this road for many years, as well as other hunters such as RednekF350, have been unceremoniously cut off. And explorers, historians and kayakers, can no longer travel by vehicle past the bogs. It would take a bulldozer to remove them it appears.
The road is officially called Park Road from there back, but it is not much of a Park back there is you can't drive to it.
