I’m sure it is possible. Would you be going in the woods on a dry day with 60+ mph winds? There was aerial footage I was amazed how fast it was going. You could see it moving even in a few second clip

The area you outlined matches up perfectly to the area that has been control burned over the past several decades. I know it well. Just for perspective of the size of this fire. I think that area highlighted is around 200 acres.

Jackson Road is open.

Yes I’m only guessing. There isn’t really any defensible fire breaks to the north except the power lines. I didn’t map it out but my guess this morning was 1,000 to 1,500 acres for the final size. At least that’s what I told my son but I’m purely guessing

When I went by this morning there was a plow line along the power lines to Jackson road. So they were setting up to burn from the power lines to the county line bridge and then likely down the road immediately after. Not sure how far down that road but it could be all the way to the cranberry bogs.

Jackson Rd from Tremont Ave to Atsion Rd (Shamong) closed indefinitely due to a forest fire, avoid the area. No immediate threat to residental areas.

Thanks, I suspected that but couldn’t confirm. There seemed to be more division B units there as well. I suspect there might be a lot of backfiring today. That’s a difficult area

The fire is reported to be in c-11. I did the same thing but I used the snack center as my reference since the grand stand is no longer there and came up with the similar line. Using that line the fire is on the Camden county side of the Mullica. Since the fire is reported in Camden county...
