Tailgated a bit before rodeo and stayed till the end, not a drop of rain. My son said it rained at home while we were gone and it poured for awhile overnight

My Jeep never starts 1st try after it's been warmed up, always 2nd or 3rd try. It can sit for weeks even months and will fire right up cold. If I can remember I'll have to try, like your brother it's probably been 20 years like that LoL
