    Franklin Parker Preserve Foray

Far from an expert, but I would agree with racer - the under side appears to be dark and the eye appears to have brown in them

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

I feel like I'm missing something. I think I have been very clear about my "agenda", in fact I highlighted it in my long winded post for you. I am glad you understand now!

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Hey man - Sorry for being "long winded" but read my post again. If you have any personal questions shoot me a PM. Though, i'm not really sure it's any of your business, but, since you really seem to be on to something (that is sarcasm), if you must know, I do not have anything to do with the...

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Hey Jon - Not quite sure what you are getting at as on one hand, you seem to be taking the high road, then on the other you seem to do exactly what you claim you don't like. That said, you seem like a decent guy and I enjoy looking at your photos. I think its nice that you have been an active...

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Now it make sense, Jason is some sort of self appointed security monitor, just like THIS guy in the lifelock commercial. Thank you for your service Jason, you are a true American hero!

Colliers Mills Being Heavily Abused by ORV's

Dude - are you for real?? You want to talk about "sorry" or something that "does not do this discussion any service" -you are up at 2:30 am searching the Internet so you can troll a thread on a discussion forum. You seem to be absolutely delusional.

    Beer (again)

During the winter, I spend a lot of time in Vermont. These beers, especially Heady Topper, are even difficult to find there. Need to watch delivery days and act quickly. Lawson's is a bit easier to come by.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

The map you linked to was The M.A.P. and is missing over 50% of the roads within Wharton. A 1997 version of the usgs topo map would be a better baseline for you.

Herp brains? :) Can anyone identify this frog by its call?

I think you are right, I can still only hear the whip poor will, and just barely at that. The DEP has a pretty good section on herps on their website, including recordings of frog and toad calls: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/ensp/fieldguide_herps.htm

Herp brains? :) Can anyone identify this frog by its call?

Maybe it's on my end, but had a hard time hearing anything. Only thing I could hear sounded like a whip-poor-will, which is a bird. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eastern_Whip-poor-will/sounds

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

Jason, I'm sorry but I do not have any respect for you and your organizations right now. Your collective actions have damaged not only yourself, but your associates and the PPA as well in my mind. Posting some conciliatory comments on a web site does not change my feelings, it's going to take...

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

At (most) times is seems as the other side is entirely made up of the PPA leadership, NJCF leadership and maybe a forest superintendent. It certainly doesn't seem like there are many outside of that group. Scary they got so close to implementing their plan.

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

That gets back to the question of how much is enough. To some, any is too much. It would seem the "illegal" part was just a tool to get the large amounts of the forest closed to responsible forest enthusiasts. At least that was the starting point for which they were shooting.

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

Is it ok? Read the article: http://www.newsworks.org/index.php/local/new-jersey/92106-plan-to-close-roads-in-wharton-state-forest-kicking-up-dust-among-locals The caption reads "Four-Wheel-Drive trucks take on a flooded road in Wharton State Forest", seems misleading to me. Best case, there is...

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

Do you really think the response here has been one sided? This group seems to be quite diverse in how we enjoy our time in the forest and opinions here seem to run the gamut from those seeking to close the forest to those supporting open access. About the only thing I haven't seen here is...

Off Road Abuse of Wharton State Forest Continues

As been stated before, people intent on breaking the law will do so. Not sure what the point of the original post is, other than, perhaps, to stir the pot? I don't think Mr. Howell is anything more than a paid agitator that has time and time again mis-represented facts and out right lied to try...
