    Prescribed burning season ends March 15. Sometimes it can be extended to March 31 on a day by day case if the weather ccoperates to stay within the prescription perameters. The State Forest Firewarden has to grant permission on any extensions after the March 15 cut-off.

    The Old Farmer is at it again...

    UGH, no snow is fine but too mild of a winter will destroy farmers with their crops like blueberries. It pushes them way too early and sets them up for a late April early May disaster.

    Definition of a Piney

    A true definition of a Piney, one name stands out in my mind and many will agree with me I am sure! Bill Haines Sr. - Was one of the greatest farmers and finest gentleman to ever walk and live in the pines! He was a true steward of the land. He was such an inspiration to so many people.
