    Pine Barren History Shorts

Incredible, and unmanagable. It would take 20 minutes at each stop for everyone to park and get to the site. And then another 20 minutes to walk back to the cars and assemble themselves, and this is generous I'm sure.

    Music for the day

Did you ever fall in love with a performer? This is Lisa Hannigan, an Irish singer. She's married now so I had to tone it down. I saw her in Philadelphia 6 years ago, seems like it was yesterday. Something about her breathless way of singing, her songs, and her innocence. She is very talented...

    "Elevated fire weather conditions"

In my rental house, I bought a floor model I'm happy with. Currently gulps 4 or 5 gallons of water in 24 hours. I bought two of these indicators to keep an eye on it. Above 50 and I get a smiley face. I'm usually between 50 and 55 or so.

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

I asked for 5, does that make a difference? Edit: just saw your click on the globe suggestion to see 5 or 6. That's fine, I can do that.

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

Boyd, is it possible for you to extend the waypoint location info on the main page to 5 digits? That would be more aligned with my plant labels and state points. Sometimes I forget to capture a waypoint on my GPS and so use your map to see what it was by going to the same spot.

    "Elevated fire weather conditions"

It's super dry here. Humidifier cannot keep up. The dew point is 17 F. That is off any reasonable chart.

    Where is this?

Is it close to where Tom was overheated on one of our big trips and we made him put his legs into the Nescohaughe(sp?). Edit: no, can't be. Creek in your photo is far too wide for that.

    Beer (again)

Well, after that last 10 minutes at Lincoln Field, I had to drink something! I actually like this 4.5 beer. At my age, I'm not looking to get wrecked.

New Car or Nearly New Car

I was surprised to note that car dealers also allow car gurus to advertise used cars up to the current year at least (2023), so don't pass that ad source by. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/new/searchresults.action?entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d311&zip=08005

Egg Harbor Township to decide whether to accept 525 acres of land

Somebody should take it and preserve it. I just realized it's on the other side of the Parkway and Fire Road. Likely to at least one listed plant species in there.

New Car or Nearly New Car

All correct, yes. I did view a lot of videos. I especially like the "tell them you want the out the door price", and don't let the dealer put all his crappy accesories on, even if he says "we do it to all cars we get in". And don't play your hand too soon, etc. The biggest thing to avoid (and...

New Car or Nearly New Car

I just told Gateway Toyota to forget it. I wanted a 2024 Camry V6, but they come standard with the new panoramic roof. I'm not on board with that, too many things could go wrong with it and they can heat up the car. They can't give me just a moonroof. Pity, because this will be the last V6 on a...
