Yes, see that now. Maybe sanding the bogs? I wonder if it was state land and they were keeping it quiet.

    Another Puzzle

The only clue I found was on this 1972 aerial on the left. Since it's only a snap shot of my open Edge window, it's probably allowable to show it. See the sandy areas, how they kind of correlate with the gouges?

    Another Puzzle

I noticed these marks last Spring. It's a real puzzle to figure out how this happened. This is near Westecunk Creek just outside of Stafford Forge. There are other similar ones in this pine plains area. I can't find any old roads that go to it.

    Pinelands Fishing sites recommendations.

It's right here, west of Wells Mills and on the opposite side of the old, closed Southern OC dump. This is the way in, in yellow. I would not eat the fish, just to be safe.

Who here has a solar electric system?

10 years ago I thought it was ridiculous that Solar was not required on every new senior home roof being built in a senior community. If they did that, most people would not quibble about buying one since their choices would be limited anyway.

Who here has a solar electric system?

If I owned a house with a lot of propery, and a small solar farm would definitely be paid back by savings in electrical costs, I'd go for it IF it was in a suitable area where I did not look at if every day and think it's an eyesore.

New Car or Nearly New Car

During my research, I saw an invoice from someone who had a $145 charge for nitrogen in the tires. I laughed out loud at that, and then felt very sorry for the young adult the dealer did that to.

    Raised trail?

I'd like to do a sort of test with one of my photos. When I reached the bottom of the slope, I looked back up at the berm and took a photo of the berm at the top. When I looked at the photo after uploading it I said to myself "I"m not going to show this one, they won't get it, it just looks like...

    Raised trail?

No, the deer blind is on the west side. Here is a shot of the northern depression as I approached it.

The Batona Trail Diary, the First Thirty Miles

In 1961 when those letters were flying back and forth, I was living in Hampton Lakes. The house is still there. Yes, I come from humble beginnings.

New Car or Nearly New Car

I'm about a month into doing my research. I know what I want, but the dealer inventory is very scant. I've read all the tricks dealers play to extract all the freaking money they can from you. But I figured I'd ask you all if you have any recent experience in doing this; what worked for you and...

    Raised trail?

Here, I'm standing at the bottom of the slope, and I noted there was a channel sweeping straight over to the large canal as shown on the lidar. I've outlined it, but so many years have gone by that its almost obliterated due to accumulating detritus.

    Raised trail?

I also found this yesterday, just 15 feet west of the berm. It's rare to see these now if I think I'm right on what it is; a deer blind partly underground.

    Raised trail?

We are ALL wrong much of he time Pan. I looked at this more as an interesting exploration. Making you eat crow (or send me a hat) was all in fun.

I was out at that hut spot many years ago. I could find nothing, like it was never there.

    Raised trail?

Here's where I probed that pseudobridge on the side of the log next to the bank.

They are there, but so overgrown and rusty, you couldn't operate them.
