    Old Cape May

What a reminder. Growing up, my Dad owned a hotel and restaurant in Wildwood. Naturally, our summers would be "down the shore." I would crab in Grassy Sound but we would hitch hike to the Cape May area to fish. The fish were plentful from the surf or on the Delaware bay side. That was a peaceful...

    Easy Walk

Hi Mudboy, I have never fished there but I see people catching pike. I have dug in the stream beds for prehistoric sharks teeth. I probably got 25 to 30 over the years, from that area. it was under water many moons ago as evidenced by the marl deposits. I just may fish there real soon.

    Piney Displaced.

I was in that area of the country this past January, So West VA, WV, and we did some hiking and we did notice a lot of similarities except for the mountains. I spoke to several country boys and when I talked about the Pines, they couldn't understand that NJ is basically flat and when talking...

    Maneating 'Yotes.....

It is only a matter of time before we start seeing attacks in the Pines. If you get too close to a yearling watch out, Mom isn't too far behind. They usually hunt in packs of 6 if they have their young with them or in a pair if they are adults. Being pack anlmals you could see any combination of...

    The Hut

A friend of mine, who just got out of the marines, wanted something to eat with a beer. We went to old Ships Inn and he ordered one of those award winning cardboard pizzas. He also asked for some garlic. They gave him a restaurant sized container of powered garlic. Tom opened the quick pour side...

    The Hut

Wow, this does bring back memories. I remember passing the Hut but never went in. I do remember "Old Ships Inn" in West Berlin. In the early 1980's I lived in Alluvium which was down the street from the place and I can remember cold beer and crabs, bad pizza and more cold beer. It was a fun place.

    Bending or Breaking the rules

I know some Rangers and they told me that there is no way that they go back to the station to relieve themselves. Our law enforcement works that way. If you are a relative, neighbor, friend or a good looking chick, a cop will not give you a ticket. If they are in a good mood, you may get away...

    Fishing: Spring Striper Action

It has been years since I caught a drum. I like how they taste if prepared properly. I am not much of a cook so I don't know what is the best way to cook them. On Wed, 5/26, Ed Campbell and I are going after Stripers out of Barnegat. Hopefully we will be sucessful.

    Phillies

30 days in the electric chair should cure them. Shouldn't we be a forgiving society and just fine them $100,000? I could use the help with my taxes.
