Introducing the new 3d Terrain Viewer

Never mind, I found the tilt function in help. Duh.

Introducing the new 3d Terrain Viewer

I had jazzed it up pretty high just to emphasize them. I was just curious. As for the 2D, I don't see any way to switch from 3D to 2D other than the buttons under the compass. Oddly, when I rotate in 3D to make the railroad in the foreground parallel to the bottom of my screen, and then hit the...

That is awesome Boyd. Really. I'm looking at a piece of land I was on that has ravines. What do you think the dark choppy line represents?

No, sorry. By the way, isn't Vineland known for being huge? That is opposite of this place.

I find it an interesting place. Very flat, and kind of cozy. Nice, leafy neighborhood. I wonder if taxes are high.

Trivia: What borough just outside the Pine Barrens has only about 1,600 people, a total area of less than 2 square miles, and was ranked the worst town in the state in it’s 2008 ranking of good places to live in NJ? No data research online allowed.

    Poison Ivy and Indian Mills

Still doing a few surveys in Camden County, so my usual run is to go through Chatsworth out to Tabernacle, cross 206 and head down Oak Shade to Jackson. I got tired of that, so I decided to try a back way via Indian Mills. I head down 206 to Willow Grove Road, and run that to Atsion, then north...

    Bass River Fire

Reminds me. I got onto the power lines west of Jackson Road about 2 weeks ago here at the sanctuary, and was immediately met with rude signs by some conservancy (Rancocas?) threatening $1,000 fines for being on the trail under the powerlines. They were prominent signs and numerous. Anyone know...

A few rough pictures from last winter

Regarding the slippers, I was on the base at Lakehurst last spring. There was a huge colony of them under white pines. I stopped counting at about 120 plants over about 30 square yards.

A few rough pictures from last winter

I feel that way about two things: 1) the Putin war against Ukraine. I feel helpless and frustrated that I can have no real positive impact on that. 2) the crime spree in Philly. Ditto, like the above.

Yeah, when I first moved to bamber in 1982, I had a 125 hodaka and I rode it in Greenwood Forest with only a beanie for head gear.

I know your shtick Russ. I've known you for 20 years. You love playing with words and seeing how others react to them, or perceive them, or how they interpret them, or defend their meaning. You want us to say "okay, yeah, I can see that designation being useful, or this one, and maybe parts of...

    NJ Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan

Those regulations were written to cover every conceivable reason to close a road just to give them leeway in the future to close roads. It's like the second amendment, no one can figure out the true meaning, everyone has their own take. It means nothing anyway since it's not enforceable by the...
