    Bluefish

Snappers are OK, just cut the dark meat out but those chompers even marinated for a day, I guess if you enjoy dining on mossbunkers they are delightful.

Thanks. I know when doing research you have to look at ALL sources. I often do this when studying an area looking at all aerial photo's, satellite, atlas's, topo's if I have, etc.

Anything mentioned what the stone Eldridge measured from represents? Does the vertical line from the stone mean anything? I think you could find the Lost Dutchman's gold mine if you put your mind to it, LOL Probably monument 38 was damaged when the easement was cleared? Lucky it's still there...

Thanks for your patience. I see you were out right after the fire, excellent time to go looking. Is that a pipe in the background in the top photo? I came across a couple of pipes on a trail close to rt 72 some years back. Didn't see any stones or monuments but then wasn't looking either.

Yes all these lines are confusing. However I believe you resolved the COUNTY "phantom" line issue on the Lidar image so that is no longer the question. The question now is the parallel Stafford line which DOES exist. I put the marker on this line and you can clearly see this line on your...

I know I should wait for Guy to post but that "artifact" white line shown on the aerial DOES exist.

I don't want to delete my last reply, I should. It was before my morning coffee. lol. Now I may be more confused. It appears Guy is pin pointing the monuments he found which appear to be on that bulldozed road? Now I'm confused to what his red arrows are pointing to which is that lighter over...

Thanks Boyd and Guy. I didn't mean to start "trouble" but I'm sure getting an education. Guy I don't have the computer skills to "paint" arrows, the best I can do is use the marker. So according to your monuments the faint line [over grown road] to the left of the wide road that the FFS...

Yes it is quite a change and I believe we have the FFS to mostly thank for holding forest fires at that boundary road and yes there is a finger of the Dry Branch farther back.

Yes Guy I'll agree with your answer regarding the COUNTY line. The parallel white line and over grown road I'm now talking about and maybe the one Boyd is asking about does EXIST and appears to be some sort of "secondary" Stafford boundary line?

Boyd Thanks for the input. I think in this case Guy has the most plausible answer. The white lines [road] aligns with the benchmark that Guy found, but is slightly moved off station by the forest service bulldozer during the Warren Grove fire. The other parallel line does NOT align to the...

Thanks, makes sense now that I see the same line to the left of the Coyle field county line. Deceiving though. I often wondered and was just asking someone if the county line was ever complete, from your comment apparently not. Didn't know landowners refused to allow, that makes sense also.

Boyd or if someone else can answer. On Boyd's Lidar map http://boydsmaps.com/#lidar,39.770909,-74.388664,16 the county line is drawn in with black lines and marked. White lines shown are sand roads of the various township borders. My question is just to the left of the county line about 3/4" you...

    New metal signs in Wharton

Absolutely not, it's just an expression but now I see it can be taken in a negative manner. Guy, a call for volunteers on such a large scale cannot be intended as "private" unless the group of you that attended that last meeting consider yourselves a secret "undercover" seclusive fraternity...

    New metal signs in Wharton

Brace yourselves after next Friday/Saturday. I was waiting for someone else to post but......an email was sent out. Dear Wharton Mayors and Stakeholder, I am very pleased to report that the motor vehicle signs that we showed you at our March Wharton Enforcement stakeholder meeting, arrived at...

    Death of a Pine Snake

Exactly where did you get this factual information? Yes it's possible but doubtful. Unless you have actual trail riding experience you have no conception of logs, branches, roots that appear "out of nowhere". Snakes as are most native species are well adapted to blend in with the surroundings...

    Death of a Pine Snake

You think? Not going into detail, I've witnessed the shenanigans these "snake people" pull. It may indeed have been run over as they claim on a trail, on the other hand it very easily could have been road kill then transported to a trail to fulfill their "agenda". Is this trail on public or...

Thanks for the map and clarification. I didn't think this was the area where all the townships met, for some reason thought it was farther West. My fault for not looking at the topo map. I usually study the old aerials and sometimes back up with topo's. Now your map and the topo show the...
