    Canoe Signs

Or at least posted the whole proposed sign. I can see people driving all over looking for the canoe launch:D

    Canoe Signs

Yes I did. If I didn't see the post on Facebook and do some research from there I'd still think it had something to do with canoes.

And here's the map of it. https://scenicbyways.info/byway/68570.html

    Canoe Signs

I've seen these posted on Facebook too. In one of the pictures there's a sign under the canoe that reads "Pine Barrens Byway". Looks like they are just posting the scenic roads through the pines and have nothing to do with canoes. http://www.nj.gov/pinelands/landuse/recent/byway/

    Off-road charges

I give all the officers that patrol back there a lot of credit. Anything can happen out there and help isn't just around the corner. I'm glad to hear all ended well.

    Road Maintenance

Yes. The same with Sandy Causeway. They added culverts there as well.

    Take note if you fish

I grew up eating just about anything we caught from the oceans and bays. You mention eel which was always a show when it was cooked. We used to crowd around the stove as kids to watch the eel sections wiggle in the pan when they were cooked.

Actually I'm craving an apple and kumquat salad right now:D

    Cougars, yet again...

There are plenty of cougars in NJ already. They usually can be found stalking their prey on the boardwalks on just about any shore town:D

    PB National Park?

I just went back over the thread. I'm not sure who said hunting would be illegal.

    PB National Park?

I agree. It's too populated to introduce a National Park in Nj and there are plenty of 501c(3)'s associated with Natoinal Parks. I was just pointing out that PPA's role would have to change and nobody likes change, at least if it's not on their own terms.

    PB National Park?

Actually even the PPA agreed it was not a good idea, but that could be because if it actually happened they all would be out of a job:worms:

    Shore Birds and Blueberrys.

Maybe it's it's because it's illegal to feed them down the shore now:D

    Garden 2016 Underway

I'm not sure they like the shade since I planted them in the sunniest area in my yard (50% or so). Keep in mind Strawberries come up year round. I started with an elevated box about 4'x8' we planted 2 plants years ago. Every spring I relocate the ones that popped up outside of the planter. If...

Oh boy!! The great sauce/gravy debate. As most Americans I'm pretty much a mutt but I do have a lot of Italian. My grand father was Italian and grew up in Millville until he moved to Hammonton. He nearly had a melt down the first time I heard some one refer to sauce as gravy. To this day I...

    Garden 2016 Underway

That's great!! I love the fact that you're teaching your kids to cook as well. My property has to much shade to achieve any decent crops. Strawberries seem to be taking over though. What we lack in what we can grow ourselves we buy from our local farms. Caning tomatoes and freezing corn is a...
