GM is phasing out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

From the BMW article: "Other features that BMW is locking behind subscriptions (as per the company’s digital UK store) include heated steering wheels, from $12 a month; the option to record footage from your car’s cameras, priced at $235 for “unlimited” use; and the “IconicSounds Sport...

    Billy-bob goes hunting

Found this today. It has a seat inside (or maybe he stood on it). I think it's quite old. I've circled the boards he used to climb inside.

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

I'm good, turned both off anyway.

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

It works now, thanks. This below is all I've decided to show unless I'm particulary interested in something. This site is very fast on edge, no problems.

Yes, it does work in Chrome.

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

Boyd, I wanted to turn off some of the datasets, but I can't move/scroll down past geology.

This is the paid service to come: Dynamic Navigation (3-year trial). Gives the latest road changes at all times. If you don't pay, you don't keep.

    Tulare Lake

A very interesting article on the rain's effect in California. It's a gift article so you can read it. Be sure to watch the chevy truck video. This season's weather there should compel them to ramp up thier effort to store water from rain to use during droughts...

GM is phasing out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

"...incentivize vehicle-related digital subscription services" Disgusting. I've been looking for a used car, and I came across this in the specifications of one car having to do with some electronic feature: "subscription required".

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

Yo, you're right, if you go lo and slo it's consistent. I can live with that. All I have to do is move slowly aound a bit when I use it, just to confirm I'm good. As to the zoom on my first post, I only zoomed out to snip it while getting the whole lot and the data panel to show you side by side.

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

Boyd, I see some discontinuity within this lot, leading me to believe there may be more. See the data difference at different points in the lot. Edit: I did find more. Take a break Boyd, walk away from it for awhile.

Introducing Boyds Map of the Pines XT

I'm trying it out now Boyd. This is really quite a feat here. Thanks! I'll let you know if something odd comes up.

I could not resist that Boyd. But I immediately download it when I saw it's a one time $9.95 fee for the basic. It will help me when I'm out there and trying to decide 'should I stay, or should I go'.

Scott, yes I love that graph of all the paramaters, which is why I use NOAA exclusively to plan my day, but only on my desktop. On my mobile, I only care about radar.

    Wind Advisory

You have been very helpful here, and over the past couple months I have noted you are one of the few, along with Boyd and Superchooch and one or two others, that speak computer language easily. If you don't mind, I'm curious about your background in that.

Thanks, I'm going to try the weather channel.

    Wind Advisory

I ducked into my clothes closet at one point, and realized I don't have weather radar on my phone. I started looking for an APP, but stopped counting at 60 different apps. What kind do you all have?

    Wind Advisory

Yes, thanks. Had straight line winds only plus rain, no hail. You could hear the wind coming, sounded ominous.
