    Snake ID

I have been racking my brain on this... The closest thing I could come up with that would be close to this area is maybe a baby mole kingsnake, but that doesn't make a lot of sense....I would be curious to know...

    Cycling in the Pines

Ben, Every year we have a cycling get together in Double Trouble (which may be closer to you, I am not sure).. Some of the roads are quite sandy and hard to cycle, but there are plenty of good easy roads and it makes for a great day cycling in the pines. Let me know if you want more info on...

    Cleanups and camping

It was a great day. We had over 25 people show up and cleaned a few areas. The Forks, Constable Bridge and Batsto Washington Rd (?) clear up to Penn Swamp Rd. 4 hours and 3 pickup loads later, we all went and had a campfire at our campsite at Bass River.

    Cleanups and camping

It's all good. It looks like we are going to have a decent sized group, but we can always use more. Nice to hear you did Harrisville. Some of us picked up a ton of concrete and construction material from Bodine Field a couple of weeks ago.

    Atlantic Brick Manufacturing Company

I go by there about 2-3 times a week. The stacks are definitely gone but some of the mounds remain. I stopped and asked the constuction workers why they were taking down all the brickworks but not leveling the ground and they had no idea. They are basically just doing what they are told..... I...

    Hiking the Great Swamp Again

I am not sure why I didn't notice this post earlier, but I am here to tell you that the Great Swamp (and all other swamp area of Wharton) are some of my favorite places to explore. I have found the logging machine (Swamp Monster) out there and have traversed that swamp many times. I would love...

    Moving Day

Thanks Chris. I am doing my own little "project" to teach (and learn) about some of south Jersey's Legends and Lore (yes, I read the book!). There is just so much info out there, but sometimes none of it seems really detailed. Anyone have any stories about that day?

    Moving Day

Just out of curiosity.. There was a tradition in the South Jersey farm communities in the 1800's called "Moving Day". I believe it took place near the Vernal Equinox (March 25th, maybe?). Does anyone have more info about it?

    Ghosts in the Hollow

There are definitely some awesome spots in Centralia. I spent a whole day there about 6 months ago. It was very cool to see the smoke pouring out of the cemetery. I also visited the road that was pretty much completely gone. I don't remember which road it was, but you could see the remains...
