I was looking to get together a CITO event (geocaching cleanup) around Earth Day. I was going to have it the 22nd and called Batsto and spoke to Gil Mika who told me that they were having their big cleanup/Earth Day celebraton on the 17th.
SO...
A bunch of us are meeting at Batsto at 9:30am on Saturday April 17th to help Wharton officials with whatever they need to do that day. Clean up, trail marking, planting..whatever. The official starting time is 10am, but I posted a starting time on the CITO page as 9-9:30 so we would have a chance to meet and organize ourselves.
There is going to be a small group of us camping at Bass River throughout that weekend (Friday and Saturday night). I camped there this past weekend and I HOPE it will be warmer, hehe.
If anyone on this site is interested in the cleanup or in camping (you don't have to do both, it can be one or the other), please post here or give me a call at 609-742-0105. I do screen my calls, so you will have to leave a message unless I know who you are, lol.
I sincerely hope to see some of you there. Depending on how many show up, we will be covering a good chunk of Wharton from Atco to APH and many other places...
